Sewer Jetting

What Is Sewer Jetting?

Sewer jetting is the process of shooting a high powered jet of water into your drain lines to clear blockages that would otherwise be impossible to clear with traditional drain cleaning equipment like a spring cable type drain cleaning machine. It is similar to a pressure washing machine that you would use to deep clean

Sewer jetters are typically the last tool you would use to clear a residental stoppage. This is one of the more specialized drain cleaning machine that most plumbing or drain cleaning companies do not have.

It is particularly useful for stoppages in homes with long driveways or are set back farther from the street than other building on the street. A sewer jetter would clear the stoppage and fully flush the whole drain line out to the city sewer line.

Another typical use for sewer jetters is preventive maintenance on residential and commercial buildings. Over the course of 1-2 years a building main drain line builds up deposits of soil and debris inside the pipe leading to the city sewer line. This deposit can lead to normal everyday usage of the drain lines to cause main line blockages. Sewer jetting will scour off all the grime and build-up on the pipes and leave them as clean as the day they where installed.
