What is the Family Club?
The Johnson Bros. Family Club is a free text-and-email list for homeowners who want seasonal plumbing reminders and member-only offers from a family-owned Quincy plumber, with no sales calls and a STOP that works.
It is not the same thing as the Family Plan. The Family Plan is the paid yearly membership: the service fee waived even if you decline the repair, 10% off all work, and priority scheduling. The Club is the list that tells you about it. The first message you get is the current offer on a year of the Plan; after that it is the reminders below, and nothing you did not ask for.
What the reminders are
They follow the South Shore calendar, because the calls we get do. The first hard freeze brings split outdoor spigots and frozen pipes in unheated crawl spaces, so the fall text is about shutting those off and draining them. The spring thaw and the big rain storms fill basements, so that one is about testing the sump pump before it has to work. Late summer is the time to look at a tank water heater that is past its first decade, before it fails in the cold. And before heating season starts, a boiler that struggled last winter should be looked at while the days are still warm. Each reminder says what to check yourself and what to call about.
Who the Club is for
Anyone in the 31 South Shore towns we serve. You do not need to be a current customer. It suits the person who has a sump pump and forgets to test it, the owner of an older home with a boiler that wants to be thought about in September rather than January, and the landlord who would rather get one text than remember three buildings. If you only want the offer and not the reminders, that is fine too: reply STOP after it arrives.
The family behind the texts
Johnson Bros. has been a family-owned plumbing company in Quincy since 2008. Nate started it as a drain-cleaning business after Quincy High Plumbing School; his brother Nick is the Master Plumber, licensed in Massachusetts as PL #17034-M. The office that sends these texts is the same office that answers the phone at (617) 479-9911, and the people who write the reminders are the people who did the jobs they are reminding you about. There is more about the two of them, and how we handle a call, on the about page.
How to stop, and what we do with your number
Reply STOP to any text and the texts end. Reply HELP for help. Email has an unsubscribe link. Your number is used for the messages you agreed to and for nothing else; we do not sell contact lists, and the full detail is in the privacy policy. Stopping marketing texts does not stop the texts about an appointment you booked, which are a separate, service-only channel.
Already a customer who wants to send a neighbor our way? The referral program is separate from the Club. Want to see how a visit goes before you join anything? Read what South Shore homeowners say after the job, browse every service we offer, or reach the office through the contact page.
